Medicare Part D workshop offered November 12, 2005

A new benefit for prescription drugs will be offered through Medicare beginning January 1, 2006. Medicare recipients who are eligible for this benefit must evaluate their drug benefit options and enroll in a drug plan.

Drug benefit expert and UCSF School of Pharmacy faculty member Marilyn Stebbins, PharmD will lead participants through the evaluation and enrollment process during a workshop scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The workshop will be held on the UCSF Parnassus Heights campus. The fee is US$15. The program is part of the fall 2005 health education series offered by the UCSF Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a community education program for adult learners.
