UC San Diego Satellite Pharmacy Education Program
Students in good standing at the completion of the third year may elect to complete their fourth year in the Clinical Pharmacy Satellite Program - University of California, San Diego. Under the direction of full-time and volunteer clinical faculty, students may enroll in a wide selection of required and elective clerkship opportunities. Although over 500 miles from UCSF, the UCSD program is an integral part of the School of Pharmacy curriculum. This was the first School of Pharmacy satellite program, established in 1975 following several years of planning and approval by University Systemwide Administration and the Regents. The program, which operates in conjunction with the UCSD School of Medicine, allows students to work closely with UCSD medical students, interns and residents in a variety of inpatient and ambulatory care settings. For more information about this Satellite Program, contact the Program Director, Lee Cantrell, Pharm.D.
