Santa Clara - South Bay Satellite Pharmacy Education Program
The South Bay Clerkship Program was established in 2002 and is based at the Palo Alto Medication Foundation in Palo Alto, California. As with other off-campus programs, students complete all requirements for graduation locally. The teaching sites are located from South San Francisco down to San Jose, California, and, include sites in the East Bay south of Oakland. Some of the participating sites include Stanford Medical Center, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Santa Clara Medical Center, Washington Medical Center, Longs Drugs Stores, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Kaiser (various South Bay locations), Sequoia Hospital, Kindred Pharmacy Services (Consultant Practice), Pathways Home Health and Hospice, Santa Clara Drugs (Compounding) Omnicel, Sanofi-Aventis. We are fortunate in having the support of faculty members Kathy Orrico, Pharm.D and Joyce Lin, Pharm.D. from the Palo Medical Foundation who serve as preceptors, advisors, consultants, supporters, to South Bay students and, who are often teachers/participants, attendees at the student conferences.
For further information, contact the Program Director, Glenn Yokoyama, Pharm.D.
