Bourdet named to Academy of Medical Educators

Sharya Bourdet, PharmD, BCPS, a volunteer faculty member in the UCSF School of Pharmacy’s Department of Clinical Pharmacy, has been named a new member of the Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators (AME). She will be inducted, along with 14 UCSF colleagues, at a welcoming ceremony on September 19, 2016 on the UCSF Parnassus campus.

Bourdet is the associate chief of pharmacy for acute care and education and the pharmacy residency program director for first-year residents within the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System. As a member of the School of Pharmacy faculty, she precepts UCSF student pharmacists who rotate through her clinical practice site, where they gain introductory and advanced practice experience in health system pharmacy. She also teaches therapeutics courses in the School’s doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) program.

Bourdet joins Conan MacDougall, PharmD, MAS, BCPS, as the second School of Pharmacy faculty member to join the AME, whose vision is to promote an educational climate that accelerates advances in teaching and learning, champions educator careers, and improves health.
