Levens Lipton interviews Daschle about ongoing health care challenges

What are the specific challenges to ensuring the successful implementation of the Affordable Care Act?

Helene Levens Lipton, PhD, a faculty member in the School of Pharmacy’s Department of Clinical Pharmacy, posed this and other questions in a video interview with former U.S. Senate majority leader and health policy expert Thomas Daschle. Daschle, who advised President Obama during the development of the health care law and is now a senior policy advisor at the law firm DLA Piper, visited UCSF in October 2012 as part of the Chancellor’s Health Policy Lecture Series. Lipton is also a core faculty member at the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies, UCSF School of Medicine.
