The Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Science (TUPLS) have participated in a collaborative relationship since 1994. The goal of this partnership has been to promote collaborative teaching and research. Each year faculty members from UCSF participate in teaching seminars to university based as well as practicing pharmacists affiliated with TUPLS. The Department of Clinical Pharmacy annually hosts faculty and graduate students from TUPLS and provides seminars and practice experience in the area of pharmaceutical care.
